Hallelujah, Spring! -- the season is changing, so is your skin!

Seasonal skin:
Our skin changes in wintertime as the moisture in the outside air decreases. In our homes, offices, and other indoor environments, we subject our skin to dry heat and hot showers, all contributing to an overall drying effect on our skin.

The good news is: spring is upon us. You know things are looking up when your freckles start to glow.

Seasonal skincare:
Since we experience such different conditions during the various seasons, it's necessary to switch up the way we care for our skin.

Something I like to do with warmer weather approaching in my skin care routine is making it easier so I have more time to get outside and start preparing my flower beds for the nicer weather.

My spring skincare routine:
  • Followed by tinted moisturizer with SPF 20. This moisturizer comes in 6 different shades so as my skin tone deepens (as the weather gets nicer!), I can switch to another shade and still get the protection from the damaging sun rays.
  • Another quick tip for spring to freshen up my skin is using age-fighting moisturizer with SPF 15, this not only gives me great sun protection but has age-fighting properties to keep my skin so fresh & young-looking.

How do you take care of your skin in the spring? Share your favorite secrets with me!

Stay tuned for my Springtime Colors post. Lots of inspiration from the budding flowers!
